How Vellafolio protects your files

Every tool available today works inside your web browser. Your documents are never uploaded to us.

On your device: every current tool

When you open a file in Vellafolio, your browser reads it from your phone or computer and does all the work there — scanning, converting, merging, signing and editing. The finished file is saved straight back to your device. Our servers only send the website itself; they never receive your documents, and we cannot see them.

You can check this yourself: after a tool page has loaded, switch on aeroplane mode and the tool still works.

What we never do

• We don't upload, store or read the documents you process.
• We don't show ads or use advertising trackers.
• We don't use your documents to train artificial intelligence.
• We don't sell personal information.

Coming later: optional cloud features

Accounts with private document storage, portfolios and sharing are planned. They will be optional. When a feature needs to send a file to our servers, the page will say so clearly before anything is uploaded, files will be stored privately and protected by your login, and you will be able to delete them at any time. We will update our privacy policy before any such feature launches.

Good to know

• White-out is not secure deletion. It hides content visually, but the original remains in the file.
• Close the tab when finished on a shared computer, and delete any downloaded files you don't need.
